There is no exploitation of potential growth and risks being marginalized. The more an industry is populated by Settlers and Migrators, the greater the opportunity for a Pioneer to come in and create a new un-bloodied ocean.

An artists should always strive to be a Pioneer. Not necessarily endeavoring to be first, but, a pioneer in the sense of being the one offering exceptional unprecedented value above the rest. If not, the artist risks being marginalized [made irrelevant ] by the one(s) willing to be a Pioneer. The Migrators are in between the Pioneer and the Settler. The Migrators offer more than a Settler. They are better than most in the marketplace. However, their offerings are less than a Pioneer's. The Migrators offer improved value. But, not innovative value. The artists who are Settlers are the ones with low growth trajectory. These artists can and will make a great living.These Settler artists offer a 'me too' strategy and because of that are confined to the trap of a bloody, competitive, ocean of imitation.


For a young artist, Digital Press in and of itself is Pioneering. It offers a great new frontier for you. It increases the audience who knows you are doing something exceptional.
