And now here comes Taylor Swift.

The last artist to go platinum was Taylor.
Going platinum this time around is even more significant and it's

1. Not because she maybe the last platinum artists. 
2. Not because she has successfully crossed over from Nashville's darling to a pop artist. and 
3. Not because she chose to use the traditional business model .. the selling of units instead of streams and downloads.
